Let Me Get This Out of the Way First

I’m REALLY Sick of Shoveling Snow!

Day Two Morning: A Drift on the Front Porch

Living in NJ you just don’t expect to get walloped by serial snowstorms of epic proportions, but that’s what’s been happening to us: big storm after big storm. ARGH! I want to register a formal complaint.

This last storm dumped a foot of the heavy white stuff on us over a two-day period. I’m the day-shift snow shoveler at our house, and on the first day of the storm, I shoveled twice for 2.5 hours each, then my husband Mike came home and used the snow blower for a couple of hours at night to clear the driveway and walks again. We went to bed and woke up to even more snow on the second day; it was so deep and heavy our small snow blower wouldn’t even blow, not one little puff, not one big stream, nothing came out of it’s chute. I had to shovel the driveway and walk by hand again. And I was not happy.

Trying to Widen the Street Sidewalk to Wider Than a Cow Path!
